Now in his second year as Athletic Director, Walter Parham has quickly established himself as a transformative leader dedicated to elevating the standard of excellence across all athletic programs. Under his leadership, the department has achieved several historic milestones and laid the foundation for sustained success both on and off the field.

During his tenure, Parham secured a landmark Nike branding partnership, introduced live streaming for athletic events, and celebrated the program’s first-ever preseason men’s basketball ranking. He also oversaw the most wins in the history of the volleyball program and launched the first-ever Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, ensuring student-athlete voices play a central role in shaping the department’s future.

Committed to fostering a culture of unity and pride, Parham spearheaded the creation of the department’s rallying slogan — “Fly Fearless.” His focus on academic achievement has also paid dividends, as student-athletes collectively earned an impressive 3.0 department GPA.

Beyond competition, Parham has expanded partnerships and revenue opportunities by bringing Gotti’s Kitchen and Pepsi on board as concession and beverage partners, respectively, and launching comprehensive sponsorship and fundraising initiatives to support athletics. Most notably, he introduced the Women’s Wrestling Program, expanding opportunities and promoting equity in collegiate athletics.

In addition to his role at the college, Parham serves his community as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner for the City of Lemoore. He resides in Lemoore with his wife, Allexa, and their five children, where he continues to lead with vision, passion, and a steadfast commitment to student-athlete success.
