Sierra named CVC Goalkeeper of the Year, WHCL claims three all-conference awards
West Hills College Lemoore sophomore Sergio Sierra was recently named the Central Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year following the close of the 2021 regular season. He tops a list of three Golden Eagles to receive postseason recognition by conference coaches.
Freshman Christian Llamas was a first-team All-Central Valley Conference selection while freshman Danoban Batres earned second-team honors.
Over 11 games, Sierra posted a 2.10 goals against average and totaled 36 saves with two shutouts.
West Hills Lemoore wrapped up the season with a 6-11-2 overall record and went 2-7-1 in Central Valley Conference play to finish in sixth place.
