APTOS – Yuliza Padilla scored a season-high 20 points to help lead Lemoore College to a 51-48 non-conference victory at Cabrillo College on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 5-10 overall.
Lemoore took a 29-17 lead into halftime but had to hold off a fourth-quarter rally by the Seahawks to hold on for the win.
The Golden Eagles sank 8 three-pointers in the contest, led by 5 from Padilla. She added 5 rebounds and 3 assists to her big game.
Bethany Oliva was also solid as she contributed 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists to the win. Chantel Rodriguez added 8 points.
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Wednesday (Jan. 8) when they open Central Valley Conference play at home against Reedley College. Game time is 5 p.m. at Golden Eagle Arena.
