Lemoore cruises to 79-56 win at Reedley in CVC opener
REEDLEY – The Lemoore College women's basketball team opened its 2025-26 Central Valley Conference schedule with a convincing 79-56 rout at Reedley College on Wednesday night.
The Golden Eagles won their eighth consecutive game and improved to 12-5 overall. Lemoore hasn't lost since a November 21 matchup against No. 11 state-ranked Butte College.
On Wednesday, the Golden Eagles set the tone early by racing to a 28-11 lead after the first quarter while a 47-28 halftime advantage allowed Lemoore to cruise the rest of the way. Reedley made a push in the third, outscoring Lemoore 18-10 to cut into the deficit, but the Golden Eagles responded in the fourth quarter with 22 points to secure the win.
Lia Sims led Lemoore with a dominant performance inside, finishing with 18 points and a season-high 20 rebounds for a double-double. Chloe Arrington followed with 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists, while Savannah Rowland added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Aaliyah Thompson chipped in 11 points on efficient shooting, and Catherine Clemente contributed nine rebounds and four blocks to anchor the defense.
The Golden Eagles will look to extend their winning streak on Saturday (Jan. 10) when they travel to Porterville College for a Central Valley Conference game.
