LEMOORE – Sophomore Bailey Goforth recorded a hat trick plus more as she scored five goals to help lead the Lemoore College women's soccer team to a big 12-0 win over Porterville College on Friday.
The Golden Eagles have won back-to-back Central Valley Conference games to move to 3-6-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.
It was a big day for Lemoore as the squad tallied a season-high 12 goals. Goforth recorded four of the Golden Eagles' five first-half goals and added a final goal in the 66th minute to make it a 9-0 contest.
Anissa Zepeda and Iva Nieves-Bermudes both scored twice while Lemoore got single goals from Dafne Ulloa, Belle Rezac, and Alessandra Zamorano.
Anahi Gonzalez was solid in goal for the Golden Eagles to post the squad's second straight shutout.
Lemoore continues Central Valley Conference play on Tuesday (Sep. 30) when it travels to Reedley College for a 6 p.m. game.
