Lemoore College announces inaugural women’s wrestling schedule
2026 WOMEN'S WRESTLING SCHEDULE
The inaugural Lemoore College women's wrestling program is set to launch this spring and will officially hit the mat for the first time on Saturday, February 14 at the SAC City Open in Sacramento. The college officially announced the 2026 schedule earlier this week.
The Golden Eagles are set to compete in five dual matches, five tournaments, and a pair of 3C2A State Championship events this season.
Following the Feb. 14 tourney, the Golden Eagles will take on the best in the state at the 3C2A Team Dual State Championships on March 7 in Fresno.
Lemoore opens its Southern California Wrestling Association (SCWA) conference schedule on March 11 with dual matches against East Los Angeles College and Victor Valley College at East LA.
The squad will compete at Golden Eagle Arena for the first and only time this season on March 25 when LC hosts Bakersfield College in a SCWA dual match set for 5 p.m.
The 2026 season concludes on May 2 with the 3C2A State Championships at Fresno City College.
The new program is led by Marcio Botelho, the college's long-time men's wrestling head coach. He is joined on his staff by Armando Calderon, Katie Sullivan, Lupe Ayon, and Fidela Becerra.
